Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Survey & Upcoming Meeting

The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee will be holding a meeting on Monday, September 14th, 2026 at 5:30pm in the EMS Building to discuss ways to fund affordable housing on the island. The committee is also conducting a housing survey.

Big Bay Town Park Announcement & Feasibility Study

Recently the Town of La Pointe was notified that through the enacted federal funding legislation, we will recieve $1.5 million appropriation for the Big Bay Town Park and this investment will allow for the replacement of the bridge and wooden stairs with a fully ADA-accessible ramp.
In April 2023, Cooper Engineering was hired to perform a study to determine the feasibility of replacing the
walkway and pedestrian bridge at Big Bay Town Park. The main focus was determining what kind of handicap-accessible options
